Persimmon runs two homes near Manali: the original Farmstead at 14 Mile in Badgran (about 14 km before Manali town), and Persimmon Farmstead Shanag near Bahang, just above Old Manali on the road toward Solang.

Yes. Both Persimmon homes welcome pets. The orchard lawns at Badgran and Shanag are especially good for dogs, with space to roam. Do let us know you're bringing a pet when you request your dates so we can put you in the right room.

The food and the hosts. Guests consistently rate Persimmon among the best places to eat in the Manali area — everything is cooked in-house in a small farm kitchen, with fresh juice and produce from the orchard. The hosts are known for calling personally and treating guests like family.

It depends on the home. Shanag is closest at about 5 km, and the original Farmstead at Badgran is about 14 km south of Mall Road — a quiet, offbeat setting just a minute off the main highway.

Kullu–Manali Airport at Bhuntar is the nearest, roughly 35 km from the Badgran Farmstead and about an hour's drive. Many guests instead fly to Chandigarh and drive up, or take an overnight Volvo from Delhi — our travel desk can arrange the pickup either way.
